Support for the children of emigrants
This sort of financial support is given to the children and grandchildren of lithuanian-breed emigrants who study in Lithuanian Universities.
The competition for the support begins on the 23th of August. Applications can be put to the State Studies Foundation (Goštautas street 12, Vilnius) until the 15th of September.
The support can be given in two forms:
- as a grant for good academic results. The grant would be imposed for only one term and paid monthly. Its size would be set according to the results of last exam session and vary from 150 to 400 litas (43 – 116 euros). Students, who are in their first term could be given a grant of 200 litas (58 euros);
- as a social allowance according to students social welfare. Its size would vary from 700 to 1100 litas (203-319 euros).
In order to apply for such a support student has to have passed all the exams.
Necessary papers:
- copy of an identity card (passport, drivers licenze);
- filled application form;
- certificate from University, endorsing students position and giving term beginning and ending dates;
- certificate, showing the results of the last exam session;
- certificate, showing that the student has passed all his exams;when applying for a social allowance, student has to give papers, representing his social welfare;
- certificate, endorsing Lithuanian breed;
- certificate, endorsing that student has been living abroad for at least 3 years and has come back to Lithuanian to at least eighth grade.
